Hello tolstoydotcom and other automated cron guides,

Thanks for your suggestion. My site has several long running automated cron jobs launched by use of hook_cron.
After the log warning "Attempting to re-run cron while it is already running," further log information from automated cron reveals statements about the custom modules like "execution of sysaid_cron took 154246.86ms."

These custom modules seem have their external database updates launched by hook_cron. Can ultimate_cron repair this situation, or do the custom modules need modification to perform their updates via a different mechanism than hook_cron?

Thanks for the recommendation. I have also struggled with the Video module after a relatively easier experience with the Drupal 7 version. I will try the streaming module shortly. Its home page warns that it is not covered by the Drupal security advisory policy- will the streaming module eventually adopt the Drupal security policy?

How can I confirm that I correctly applied the patch? I attempted to apply the patch to a DDev Drupal 9.5.7 system but still get the error when I attempt to add a preset. Thanks.
