Since there has not been a reply here recently on this issue. Just wanted to let you know this issue is still relevant for the new 3.x branch. The patch above is still working without any modifications.
I did some digging through the code and commits, and the issue was resolved with the following commit " Issue #3358820 by jrockowitz: Exception in Demo Module Event Registration 🐛 Exception in Demo Module Event Registration Fixed "
Applying this fix manually resolves the issue right away.
It would be great if we could figure out which commit fixed it so we can use it as a patch/hotfix for this issue, I am going through it now but haven't been able to find anything yet.
But is there any estimation for when the current dev branch (6.1.5 ?) would be possibly released? Because otherwise, I need a different plan of approach for this issue because this is something blocking me and the project I'm working on.
Since there was trouble reproducing this issue, I recorded the steps above on a clean installation.
