I made a decision to change the logo to a version that is less detailed and will be better recognized when viewed in smaller sizes (e.g. in gitlab or on the module page. See here https://git.drupalcode.org/project/protected_pages/-/blob/8.x-1.x/logo.png?ref_type=heads
It's now available on default branch.
