This module will help solve the problem of loss/breakage of inline images in the markup fields of nodes and other entities. This problem occurs when images are inserted in ways that do not guarantee the safety of the file on your server, for example, insertion via a direct link to a third-party resource that may stop working. How exactly this problem is solved is described in the features section.

Features

Option: Validation. This option allows you to enable validation, which checks if the image has valid data-entity-* attributes. It checks not only if they are present, but also if the file specified in them exists. If validation fails, the entity will fail to save.
Option: Try to download. If this option is enabled, the module will try to download all images that are not saved on the server when saving the entity, that is, those that do not have valid data-entity-* attributes. If the download is successful, it will set the data-entity-* and src attributes. This option works independently of validation, that is, you can enable only it, this will download all possible inline images to your server.
Option: Skip validation if image is downloadable. This option is only available if options #1 and #2 are enabled. This will skip validation if the image can be downloaded when saving the entity.

Post-Installation

After installation, go to /admin/config/media/inline-image-saver/settings and enable the options you need.

Make saving blob images to file optional.
Add an option to automatically remove or replace with specific text images that cannot be downloaded and that do not pass validation.
Add an option that will enable the creation of a revision with a log message, if possible, when images have been downloaded and new data-entity-* and src attributes have been set for them.
