Realm Object Relationship

Currently in the Message Views integration you can define a relationship on the Message Realm. I am looking for an expansion of this.

I am making use of the OG and OG Admin realms, and would like to access information about the group itself in my View. That means using the Message Realm to grab a relationship on the Organic Group in a way sustainable for the Message module, or using the Extra column of the Message instance to access the Organic Group from within the Atrium Message feature.

I might put some time into this, with some guidance as to preferred directions.
