Description Field is formatted as markup (and by default wrapped in paragraph tags when displayed on a view)

When creating a view that uses the OG description field, the og_views_views.inc file handles the field as markup. This as a result will wrap the field in p tags that you can't get rid of. Very troubling if you want good markup and want to wrap a span around it or output it as a link.
