Audience groups not being set when translating posts, should use source node groups

Hi guys,

I am using the locale.module with i18n.module and the "Add translation" links in node/[nid]/translate do not carry the gids[].

Is it the other modules job to gather the info by using og_form_add_og_audience or not? If yes, then this issue should be a feature request in the translation module.

Until a fix is made, how can I patch it myself? A code snippet or a reference will be appreciated, thanks.

Relates issues:
#424174: Determine the selected groups (gids) if it is stored in the form_state.
#421888: Clean og_form_add_og_audience() and make it an API function
