IMCE Wysiwyg bridge (http://drupal.org/project/imce_wysiwyg) adds a link to TinyMCE's default insert image feature that brings up the IMCE file browser. If TinyMCE Node Picker could be integrated in this manner (maybe as an option), it would make for a more consistent way of linking to internal and external content in TinyMCE. See attached screenshot for how IMCE does this for images.
