Can OG securely handle +15.000 active groups separately?

Hi there!
I have never used this module on a working site, but I´ve successfully tested it, and like it a lot. But now I have a bigger project in my hands, and I´m seriously considering this module as a chioce. But have a few concerns about it.
My ultimate goal is to create an *independent* site for each user.

1. Can this module handle let´s say +15.000 groups with +9000 posts each, independently? Or could anything break down just because of the quantity?

2. If I want to give all those 15.000 users the ability to create a site (a complete community 2.0 site), I´ve read several posts wondering about OG vs. multisite, but haven´t come to any conclusion yet. (and frankly, I´m even more confused now).

3. How is this module, considering page loads?

4. Is there a way to create database backups ? (ie. create a backup of group A only).

5. I´ve read all Drupal security news lately, but... are there any about having all those groups with hundreds of different users each?

Thank you very much for your thoughts on this!
