Request for Full HTML edit access

Created on 16 August 2025, 3 months ago

I am a maintainer of the Age Field Formatter module/theme on Drupal.org.

I would like to request Full HTML editing permissions for use on project pages and documentation, to better format content with tables, code blocks, and embedded images where necessary.

Tables, code blocks, and embedded images are all allowed in the standard filtered HTML text format.

Project pages and documentation should never be full HTML, since co-maintainers without access would not be able to edit their own project pages, and would remove the community editing of documentation.

Full HTML is used very sparingly since it allows creating security and privacy issues. It is rarely granted, since it is rarely necessary and comes with many downsides.

If I understand correctly, visiting the webform project page is a security risk?

There are multiple maintainers for that project.

The webform project page uses filtered HTML. As far as I know, it has never used full HTML.

The security risk would be that someone with full HTML access, or someone using their compromised account, posts a malicious <script> tag or other exploit, whether from social engineering, or without their knowledge as a step in a larger combined exploit.

OK. I will check how to replicate the Webform project page display.

I was not able to replicate their colored block of text.
