Second level of menu not reachable per keyboard

I've got the problem, that I created a primary menu with two levels. It's no problem to reach the first level per keyboard. But when the focus is on the arrow to open the second level I did'nt find a key to do this job. And yes, I ticked the box to enable Keyboard Compatibility for the main menu.
