I would like to request an enhancement to this module to support granularity filtering. Specifically, I need the ability to filter by year, month and day.
Currently, the module does not expose controls that allow filtering at this level of granularity. This kind of functionality would be very helpful in cases where the full date is not necessary and users only want to search by broader date ranges such as a specific year or month.
This request is similar in spirit to core issue #2868014, which proposes adding a granularity option to the core date filter in Views. Thank you for considering this feature request.

I believe this feature will get in to core eventually (I removed the double identification of the category in the title), so I’m on board with adding it to this module as well.
The approach is important here—what do you propose?
If you start a WIP merge request, it’ll be much easier to discuss the direction in concrete terms but even a rough draft "proposed solution" helps get the conversation moving.
