Problem/Motivation

While testing the Field Widget Action that calls the AI Automator Type: LLM:Taxonomy on the an article Body field, I got it working, more or less. The multiple UIs and duplicate settings e.g.«Enable AI Automator» in both Manage Field and Manage Form Display is confusing.

But most importantly it appears that:

  • when the action button is NOT used and the node saved, tags are created on Save, which is unwanted;
  • when the action button is used and the node saved, tags appear to be also created on Save, that's not wanted;

Steps to reproduce (required for bugs, but not feature requests)

  1. On the field that you want to fill out, click edit under manage fields.
  2. Check the Enable Automators
  3. Choose the LLM Taxonomy as Automator Type
  4. Fill in a prompt, how it should generate/pick tags and based on what.
  5. Under advanced and processor choose Field Widget
  6. Save

As part of another issue 📌 Create 'Boolean' FieldWidgetAction for AIAutomatorType LlmBoolean Active , I created a Boolean field widget action. After setup, when I edit a node and Save without clicking the action button, the automator is also triggered and the action is performed.
