D10 Community Events Migration

Problem/Motivation

Community Events still live in the Drupal 7 version of drupal.org. This issue will be used to provide updates and feedback on the migration work which is being planned/led by the DA engineering team.

Proposed resolution

The D10 migration will be a straight migration in terms of fields and data. Any data model and functionality changes will happen post migration to simplify this work.

    It can be a lot easier to massage fields and data during a migration than after. I'm not saying we should completely restructure things during the migration, but we shouldn't rule out that there could be opportunities to improve data structure and clean things up in the process.

    I would agree with Heather's comment above.
    We should be thinking of a data cleanup BEFORE we migrate.
