Bei den Splash Awards werden bereits seit 2017 herausragende Digitalprojekte auf Basis des Content Management Systems Drupal gewürdigt. In Zusammenarbeit mit der österreichischen Drupal-Community, wird dieser Award an einem jährlich wechselnden Standort ausgerichtet und fand bereits in Hamburg, München, Mannheim, Frankfurt und Berlin statt. 2025 werden die Awards zum ersten Mal in Wien im Rahmen der Award-Zeremonie verliehen. Mit der Idee der Splash Awards würdigt die Drupal-Community die besten Digitalprojekte aus Deutschland und Österreich. Ursprünglich wurden die Splash Awards 2014 in den Niederlanden zum ersten Mal durchgeführt - weitere Länder wie Deutschland folgten. Die deutschen und österreichischen Splash Awards stellen dabei mit mehr als 100 Teilnehmenden von mehr als 50 Unternehmen die größte Award-Verleihung in Europa dar.

The Splash Awards have been recognizing outstanding digital projects based on the Drupal content management system since 2017. In collaboration with the Austrian Drupal community, this award is held at a different location each year and has already taken place in Hamburg, Munich, Mannheim, Frankfurt and Berlin.
