Modeler API: Clicking Save without filling out required fields gives an error and erases model

Problem/Motivation

When you click save and miss a required field in the model, you aren't warned so you don't have an opportunity to add to the required info. Instead, the screen refreshes, erasing your model giving you the error.

Steps to reproduce

Create a new agent
Add a start event
Click save
Get error
