Suggest 'menu_link_attributes' instead of 'link_attributes' module in the documentation

Created on 11 June 2025, 25 days ago

Problem/Motivation

On the documentation page, https://www.drupal.org/docs/extending-drupal/contributed-modules/contrib... this module, http://www.drupal.org/project/link_attributes is suggested as "useful for adding link attributes". I installed the module and couldn't find attributes in menus, although I didn't install the sub-module it comes with. Perhaps the sub-module is what adds the attributes.

I checked the drupal_cms_privacy_basic recipe that ships with Drupal CMS and found it installs the https://www.drupal.org/project/menu_link_attributes module instead. This module does the job better.

Proposed resolution

Update the documentation page to Menu Link Attributes module.
