Uncaught CKEditorError: collection-add-item-invalid-index - missing cancel button

Created on 22 May 2025, 2 months ago

Problem/Motivation

This is likely the same issue in πŸ› Exceptions thrown when toggling Advanced section of linking form Active but I cannot reopen that one.

When "open in a new window" is not enabled as an option, a JS exception is thrown, and the cancel button is not displayed in the link dialog.

Steps to reproduce

Configure the text format to use some elements of advanced link but not open in a new window.

Just tested this on the latest (2.2.8) release and this is still an issue.
Javascript error is still there and causes the widget to not work properly.

Which version of drupal are you testing on?

Is it possible for you to upgrade Drupal to 10.5 or 11.2?

  • πŸ‡§πŸ‡ͺBelgium weseze

We are currently on 11.1.8. Updating to 11.2.x is not currently possible. I will report back when we update to 11.2.

Tested 2.3.1 on Drupal 11.2. This issue does not exist in 2.3.1.

This bug is isolated to 2.2.x releases, and should be addressed in that branch for continued support up to Drupal 10.4 and 11.1 and below core versions.

Drupal 10.4 and 11.1 will receive security coverage until December 2025 ( source β†’ ).
