Iโm thrilled to see patches that get this working, or at least partially working! The idea is really interesting, and I totally agree thatโs how most calendars work.

I think this should be the default behavior, it's probably better functionally and aesthetically, and if someone prefers not to show events that are out of month it's an easy CSS hide on the grayed out dates. I think this is one of my favorite Calendar implementations I've seen anywhere (fantastic job guys!) so I hope we can pull it off.

Note I was able to override this behavior and fill in the gray adjacent dates with a custom module. It creates a custom plugin that overrides this behavior (see the readme.md). Note I've only tested this with the 8.1beta3 version of this module on Drupal 10.
