Problem/Motivation

I had to read the Modes section in the README file several times to understand the differences between the modes. I noticed a typeo in the word cheched and decided to make this issue to fix the typo. Then, I decided to make the entire mode section easier to understand.

Change the mode section of the README to be easier to understand.
