Thank you @znaeff. Applied this patch, then reinstalled version 9.6.0 of the module. All appears to be running fine now, per tests.

Will a new version of the module incorporating these fixes be released?

So, a 6.1 or 6.0.1 release? Will this take a few days?

The current version of the plugin is 9.6.0. What will be the next one and when, unfortunately, there is no information yet.
