Don't show an error if a contact is already subscribed

Currently, if you subscribe to a list to which you were already subscribed an error is shown.
This isn't ideal from a UI perspective + it allows people to check which email addresses are subscribed to your list.

I would suggest to show a success message anyhow in case subscription failed due to this reason.

I created an MR with first attempt to get this fixed.

Further enhancements are probably required, but the code is rather all over the place so it will need a full cleanup.
