Currently the stats on the home page are hardcoded into the template. It would be ideal if these could be content managed through the site UI.
Create a new "stat" storage type, and then add an entity reference field to the event details config page. (These changes should be in the Event Platform details submodule)
Within the theme, pass in the stats if the current page is the home page. Also, the label should be dynamic based on the event name in the config page.

It turns out this didn't need a lot of code, but it does require some changes to the Event Platform to work as expected. I'll get an issue created there and merge in those changes before merging in the updates here.
