I seem to be missing something basic – I hope someone might be able to help. The subscription part of the module, which is all I'm using at the moment, in my Drupal 10 site, stopped working when my sysadmin updated the webserver.
When using the Simplenews block for subscribing to a newsletter, no confirmation is sent out when submitting the form.
This may not be a Simplenews issue at all, as nothing happens on form submission except a page reload. The url of the reloaded page is in the following format: https://mysite.org?mail[0][value]=mike%40myemailaddress.net&form_build_i...
There are no related logs whatsoever, even though I have enabled mail logging in Drupal 10. Drupal seems to be simply ignoring the ?mail part of the url. Setting breakpoints in the Simplenews module has no effect.
Email sending works fine from a Contact form. I have tried all available email settings for use with the Simplenews module.
Any ideas what may be going on? Does the url above look to be correctly formed?

The form should be submitted as a POST request, is that right? That's what it says in the form in the template. Not sure why or how it is being transformed into a GET request instead.
I found the issue, it was due to nested forms in the template.
