Hi, first of all thanks for the great work with this module. We had the same issue when creating entity references through an inline entity form and needed them to be attached to the same group as the node containing the references.
I did need to add some custom code to set the value on to make sure the inheritance happens.
Would you be able to create a release, maybe alpha or beta so we can properly install the module?
I think the module could use some sort of guidance on how to use it so maybe a follow up task could be some more documentation?
