Option to store the data in the Drupal Configuration as Config Entity

Problem/Motivation

Now the module provides the ability to store the configured values in the database as content. But in some cases we want to store some config pages as Drupal Configuration instead of content.

To cover this, would be great to add the ability to choose the storage type for each config page type - content or config. Is it hard to implement?
