While creating a View, after selecting "Bootstrap Tabs" in the Block Display Settings, I get a warning that "Bootstrap Tabs style will not display without the "Tab field" setting." There is no place in the view creation form for a "Tab field".
Go to Views. Create a new View. Choose whatever content you want to show. Choose "Bootstrap Tabs" for block display. Choose "Fields". Save and see if you get the error.

That is interesting. I'll see what I will need to do for that workflow. In the meantime, leave it at "Unformatted List" on that screen and then set up the format and settings on the next page.
