jquery_ui, jquery_ui_slider, jquery_ui_touch_punch, jquery_ui_datepicker packages should not be removed in composer when upgrading to 7.0 should

Problem/Motivation

jquery_ui, jquery_ui_slider, jquery_ui_touch_punch, jquery_ui_datepicker packages are removed in composer when upgrading to 7.0. After the new version package is set, we can't update the database as the packages have gone away.

drush updb can't be done.

Steps to reproduce

Run composer udpate drupal/better_exposed_filter

Check the modules jquery_ui, jquery_ui_slider, jquery_ui_touch_punch, jquery_ui_datepicker have gone away

run drush updb

    It was conveyed months, maybe a year now on the module page that these were going to be removed. If you still need them you should download to your project composer

  • Hello,
    I've re-added the packages in composer as drush updb told me the 4 modules were missing.
    But it's strange that upgrading a version, the related modules disapear while we need to uninstall the 4 modules first, so we need to keep them in the project or reload the missing packages.
    MAybe a a single message could warn the developer to uninstall the 4 modules and remove the packages himself.
