Request for access to change default branch in Gitlab

You are co-maintainer of that project, since you do not have all the permissions on that project.

To be able to change the default branch, you need to have both the Administer maintainers permission (you do not have) and the Write to VCS permission (you already have).

Either you get the Administer maintainers permission instead of another permission you already have (between Edit project, Maintain issues, and Administer releases), or you offer to become maintainer.
