Resolve the current module settings situation

Problem/Motivation

This module has a few settings, which can not be adjusted through a settings form. As there is none.

Steps to reproduce

Proposed resolution

Find out the purpose of these settings. If they are required, add a settings form and schema for them. If they are not required, remove them gracefully.
