Wrong Domain Name displayed

Created on 1 March 2025, about 1 month ago

I have about 15 different domains in my configuration. Some of these are for dev and test environments so they are easily distinguishable. But there are a few for the live environment. However, we currently only access the live site with the default domain even though it is technically accessible via alternative domains. Regardless of this configuration, I sometimes see the wrong domain name displayed within my pages when using the [site:name] token even though it's the default domain name everywhere. Even if a user were to access over a non-standard domain name, if accessed by the main domain name, I would expect site:name to always resolve to the same thing, but it doesn't.

Based on this behavior and looking under site settings while changing the domain configuration drop down, it seems that for site name in particular, the configuration on the domain configuration page itself overrides site name while site name on the site settings page is essentially ignored.

Am i missing something in the configuration or is this a bug? Anyone else seeing this? I'm tempted to just change the domain name for all the alternative live domains to our primary domain name to avoid this from happening, but I'd prefer to be able to have the alternative domains work the way they're supposed to...
