Search API autocomplete not working for anonymous user

Problem/Motivation

We use Search API Autocomplete for both Authenticated users and Anonymous users.

We are seeing a problem with the Anonymous user accessing a Search API Autocomplete via the Simple Search Form.

The screenshot below shows the ANONYMOUS access to a conventional Search API View search form - WORKING FINE.

Here is a screenshot of showing ANONYMOUS access to a the same Search API Autocomplete view but this time via the Simple Search Form block - NOT WORKING.

To clarify, here is an illustration of the AUTHENTICATED user accessing the same Search API view via the the Simple Search Form block - WORKING FINE again...

So it appears as though for some reasons, the Simple Search Form - although clearly configured correctly - does not allow the Search API autocomplete feature to kick in for the ANONYMOUS USER?

Please check the permissions for Anonymous and Authenticated users here /admin/people/permissions. Search for "Search API Autocomplete". The permissions should be like this:

Search API Autocomplete has a granular access control per each autocomplete entity. Make sure you have allowed to use autocomplete for the roles you need to have access.

This turned out to be a simple problem of us mis-configuring the Simple Search Form block.
