Deep nested field tokens in entity_reference not replaced

Problem/Motivation

Stemming from https://www.drupal.org/project/custom_field/issues/3500781 🐛 Fatal error in deep token usage in advanced display Active , deep nested field tokens on referenced entities are not getting replaced. As we've fixed the fatal error returned in that ticket, I'm creating this new ticket to track the remaining issue.

Steps to reproduce

It was discovered using the advanced custom template view display while using these tokens on entity reference fields. It was originally producing an error but now, some of the fields just arent replaced.

Proposed resolution

Refactor some of the logic in custom_field.tokens.inc
