Switch to a Default Varbase API recipe and drop the use of the Module Installer Factory class in favour of Drupal Recipes

Created on 18 February 2025, 2 months ago

Problem/Motivation

Having issues when changing the order enabling modules in dependencies and then install with Module Installer Factory Class.

dependencies:
  - drupal:jsonapi
  - openapi:openapi
  - openapi_jsonapi:openapi_jsonapi
  - openapi_ui_redoc:openapi_ui_redoc
  - openapi_ui_swagger:openapi_ui_swagger
  - simple_oauth:simple_oauth
install:
  - openapi_rest
  - restui
  - jsonapi_extras
  - jsonapi_defaults

Proposed resolution

  • Add a default recipe in the Varbase API module, to be processed on the installation of the module.

name: Varbase API - Default
description: A recipe to manage default installed modules, configs and permissions.
type: install
