Drupal core validates the configuration objects with schema files like system.schema.yml since front_ is not defined in that file, Drupal reports an error.
'front_<lang_id>' is not a supported key
1. Install the module
2. Go to System site settings page
3. Add some front pages per languages
4. Save
5. Come again to System site settings page
6. Change something and try to save
7. The supported key error is there
