The content types "Case study" and "Project" have the same field and the same displays, and there's no obvious difference between them. So what's the difference between them? Can this be clarified in the UI?
Or: from the point of view of an experienced site builder this should just be one content type, to rather then introducing users to the potentially endless proliferation of content types right that so many sites undergo...

That is good observation. Probably it can be one content type but with more clarification on the ways it can be used? So, shall be there some note what what type of recipe brings...
