Preload lora-v14-latin-regular

Created on 20 January 2025, 2 months ago

Problem/Motivation

On the Drupal CMS front page lora-v14-latin-regular.woff2 isn't preloaded, so it's flagged by lighthouse as a chained request. Looking at olivero/templates/includes/preload.twig it's not in there (and nor is the italic font).

Was this intentionally omitted, and should it be added?

It likely wouldn't have been added unless Lora is used "above the fold" in Olivero. In Drupal CMS it is, so I guess it's theme could override the preload.twig file, but might not be wanted in Olivero itself.

I'm also seeing these in 'chained http requests' in Lighthouse with stock Drupal 11.x and the standard profile, so I don't think it's Drupal CMS specific.

Changing this to a bug report because Olivero is implementing preloading but it's currently failing to preload what it needs.

The italic font appears to be loaded purely for the You haven’t created any frontpage content yet. although that wouldn't apply to Drupal CMS, but it could be two different reasons for the same thing. Couldn't yet figure out what's causing the 700 weight font to be loaded.
