Offering to maintain/own Catalyst CMS

I would be interested in taking over the Catalyst project as a new owner and maintainer with the intention to steer it in a new direction with Drupal's recipe initiative. In doing so, I will maintain the existing code in the same 7.x-1.x-dev branch as to not impact existing dependencies and for historical reasons.

I have directly messaged the maintainer as well(as of issue creation date), as I am not sure if they are still active in the Drupal community or not.
