On running the PHP8.3 compatibility test getting the following.

This is a bug with phpcompatibility/php-compatibility. It was fixed in some of the latest releases, see here: https://github.com/squizlabs/PHP_CodeSniffer/issues/3827. Furthermore, I believe is is not used in Drupal coding standard at all
It is better not to touch this at all
