Just ran into the need for this, however I've also got the patch for Accelerated Mobile Pages for Taxonomy Pages ( https://www.drupal.org/project/amp/issues/3167920 ✨ Accelerated Mobile Pages for Taxonomy Pages Needs work ) in play.
Created an updated version of this patch to play nicely with with the Taxonomy feature. Just be sure to place it after the Taxonomy Pages patch in your composer.json so it gets applied after the Taxonomy Pages patch is applied.

Missed the field storage bit, re-rolling patch with a little cleanup as well.

If you need to remove the amphtml link when AMP is disabled this is the patch for that.
