Event teaser view mode is missing a date

Problem/Motivation

There is a view page /events which lists upcoming events (view mode teaser). The event's teaser view mode is missing a date field, so you will see events, but without dates, which is a bit weird. Is there a reason to not display the dates in this view?

Steps to reproduce

Install Drupal CMS rc1
Add new event
Go to /events
Observe that event is listed here, but its date is not displayed
