When inserting soft hyphen cursor move to random position in Safari 16.4

Problem/Motivation

In Safari 16.4 when using soft hyphen the cursus move to a random position. In Chrome it works as expected.

Steps to reproduce

In Safari 16.4:

1. Type a wordt
2. Insert soft hyphen
3. Continue typing

Proposed resolution

Cursor should not move to a random position.
