Please test the module version 2.0.3 and let me know if the issue still exists.
In Safari 16.4 when using soft hyphen the cursus move to a random position. In Chrome it works as expected.
In Safari 16.4:
1. Type a wordt
2. Insert soft hyphen
3. Continue typing
Cursor should not move to a random position.
