Drupal 8+ version and automatic reminder

Hi, just came across this module looking for a module sending automatic reminders for not yet activated accounts using cron.

Looks like that's not yet part of your module, but could be in the future.

Is there a plan for a Drupal 8+ version of this module or should all power go into https://www.drupal.org/project/resend_register_mail → ?
