Allow opening of events in a modal dialog

When a user clicks on a event allow the details of the event to open up in a modal.

I see this was available in the 8 version but can't find this in the 3 version. Is this possible or am I missing something?

Help greatly appreciated.

For native (non google calendar) events we'd need to target another field for the contents of the modal as well.

So the option to have the info for an event show up in a modal is no longer a feature/option of this module?
