As said on the
image_link_formatter
module's page:However, unless it becomes possible to dynamically extend formatter classes, unfortunately, at the moment, it doesn't seem possible to "combine" several formatters for a given field display.
For example, it doesn't seem possible at the moment, to combine out-of-the-box the formatters from svg_image and image_link_formatter to wrap an SVG image within a link, in which case another formatter combining both would have to be implemented, see: enhanced_image_formatter.
I think this should be done in its own module implementing a new formatter combining both
svg_image
andimage_link_formatter
. #2 @mably This module enhancement_image_formatter did exactly what it hurts that they no longer maintain it.

Sent a message to the enhanced_image_formatter maintainer to see what could be done.

Hi All,
sadly the project I had to use has been finished - so ...
If I remember well, I just copy-pasted 3 modules together. If anybody would like to continue, I will give the module ownership, just write to me.

@tommychris, feel free to add me as maintainer. I'll have a look at it and see what could be done.

@nelo_drup I have released a new version of the enhanced_image_formatter → module compatible with Drupal 11.
Could you give it a try tell me how it goes.
And thanks to @tommychris for adding me as a maintainer of the module.
