alt text disapears for File field type (Images) when importing template to library

When you say a block with an image field, is this a custom block type that has an image field configured?

I haven't been able to recreate this but would love more detailed steps.

I was able to recreate this in 1.2.x

Adding a patch that includes the values beyond target_id from the cloned entity reference field. (This is from the current MR)
