If I use the latest version of this project drupal/acquia_cms_headless next 2.x and npx create-project acquia/next-acms which uses next 1.x, the project will crash from the get-go on npx create-project (both should be 1.x or 2.x)
I suggest to revert nextjs upgrade on 1.4.x version is this module to be 1.x only and place 2.x version dependency on 2.x branch, so users don't get broken sites and compiles with version restraints.
OR update 1.x version of npm package acquia/next-acms so manual upgrade / override to next 2.0 is not required.

Hi @silverham,
As acquia_cms_headless module recommending ^1.3 as next-acms project needs to be updated with next-drupal v2 (Which is in a RC release). As soon as next-drupal npm package have v2 release we will update the next-acms project and release the new tag.
