Link field adds a trailing "=" at the end of link when a "?" is present

What problems does this normalization cause?

I guess it depends on the destination link. In my case the destination link is a website that exports a PDF based on the URL ("?aae0d") . When you add a trailing "=", the link becomes "?aae0d=" and it doesnt generate the desired PDF. I guess in other cases it doesnt matter but i believe that the link inserted by the user shoudnt be modified.

This looks like a duplicate of 🐛 Rewrite as URL adding equals sign to end of url. Needs work . Can you confirm?
