Ability to use module with nodes

Problem/Motivation

As mentioned on ✨ Ability to use Active , in a site which already has event nodes, and significant views integration based on those nodes, it would be useful to be able to use Date Content and Smart Date Recur to be able to create extra nodes, rather than using Date Content entitities.
