Canvas flickers when adding a component to an empty slot

I opened 🐛 Slot with a placeholder is flickering when adding a new component Active but it doesn't explicitly call out the state where the whole canvas is empty. This may also be impacted by 🌱 [Proposal] A different approach to the iFrame preview interactions Active .

What do you think if we merge this with 🐛 Slot with a placeholder is flickering when adding a new component Active ? I believe we could also postpone that until 🌱 [Proposal] A different approach to the iFrame preview interactions Active is done.
